The primary responsibility of the therapy development manager or patient recruitment specialist is to develop and manage activities to optimize the patient recruitment at clinical trial sites.

There has been gained experience in several countries in Europe (experience in the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Germany, France, Poland and the UK) to support multiple clinical trial sites to maximize their patient enrollment.
Activities are performed to increase patient recruitment by regular on-site visits, site trainings, hands-on site support, identification of site specific recruitment barriers, and setting up other patient recruitment activities.
